Happy Fish :
“10 little fish swimming in the sea” recalls a song that we grew up with in the Netherlands. We sang it and meanwhile learned how to count to 10. In this mosaic, 10 fish are happily swimming while one of them has a different color. The ugly duckling? Maybe it’s a reference to my Dutch origin. Up to you! Anyway, it’s a cheerfull work, in fresh colors, with lots of movement. I used Orsoni smalti and gold smalti. Also present are long cut strips of colored glass pieces portraying the waves to add extra effect. It’s my own design.
