Venus is a copy of the Roman mosaic ‘ Venus’ from Tunisia, dating back to 200 AD. Located at the Bardo museum in Tunis, it’s completely made in marble. This material is cut with martellina and tagliolo (hamer and hardie), which is the authentic Italian way of making mosaics.
I mastered this skill and numerous other cutting techniques. If you love Roman or Byzantian mosaic and you’d like some in your home i can make one for you. According to your wishes and desires I’ll gladly make a copy of an existing Roman or Byzantian mosaic.
